Terps Fall to Colonials, 191.875-191.600

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland gymnastics team narrowly fell to George Washington University Friday evening in the Comcast Pavilion, 191.875-191.600.

The Terps hit six-for-six vaults in the first rotation. Senior Lindsey Bonomo led the team with a season-high score of a 9.675 to place fourth on the event.

In the second rotation, sophomore Allison Dama scored a career-best of 9.850 on the uneven bars to win the event. Sophomore Margaux Meeks scored a season-high of 9.70 and finished third.

On balance beam, freshman Abigail Adams and sophomore Talia Tossone tied for first with a pair of 9.70 scores.

In the final rotation, Michele Brenner tumbled to first place on the floor exercise with a 9.750. Senior Gretchen Kittelberger scored a 9.70 to tie for third.

George Washington's Leslie Delima won the all-around with a 38.600 total. Adams and George tied for second with 37.900 scores.

The Terrapins travel to Durham, N.H. on February 24 to face the New Hampshire Wildcats. The meet is set for 1:00 p.m. in the Lundholm Gymnasium.
